How much food will we be eating?
Most tours include 6 stops, and most guests will feel full by the end of the tour. Portion sizes vary at each location. Some tastings will be individual, and some samples are shared and split among the group. We recommend eating a light lunch or snack before going on a tour.
What days and times are tours available?

How long does each tour take?
Every tour differs in length. They range from 60 minutes to 3 hours depending on the tour.
How much walking will we be doing?
We move at a casual and leisurely pace on all of our tours and offer opportunities to sit. Some tours have more walking then others. That information can be found by clicking on the tour you are interested in taking.
How many people will be on our tour?
We have a minimum requirement of 3 guests and a maximum of 16 guests per tour (private tours can accommodate groups larger than 16).
How should I dress?
We recommend dressing comfortably, with shoes you can walk in for a couple of hours. We also recommend leaving heavy bags or luggage at home. We spend a lot of the tour outdoors so be sure to check the weather and dress appropriately for the season.
What if it rains?
Our tours run rain or shine, so be sure to bring an umbrella, poncho, or snow boots!
Where do we meet?
Two days before your scheduled tour you will receive a confirmation email with meeting place and your tour guide’s contact information. Keep an eye out for a tour guide in all of their Sugartooth orange glory! They will be holding an orange flag or bag and dressed to impress in a Sugartooth Tours shirt!
Where do I get tickets?
What is the cost?
Most tours are $50, plus a small fee from our ticketing agent. All tastings are included in the ticket price.
Should I tip my tour guide?
Gratuity is customary, but is not required. The industry standard is 20%, or $10 per tour ticket. If you enjoyed your tour and would like to leave a tip for your tour guide, cash gratuity would be appreciated and can be given at the conclusion of the tour.
I am a local New Yorker- is there anything to interest me on your tours?
Definitely! We aim to show visitors and locals alike the wonderful hidden establishments you may have been walking by for years without knowing about or trying. As a local, you will learn more about your city’s history and come away with a few new favorite sweet spots!
Can I buy a ticket in person the day of the tour?
We suggest making reservations 7 days in advance, and most sales end 24-48 hours prior to each tour. We may not be able to accommodate additional guests who do not purchase tickets before sales end. We highly recommend reserving your space, as our group size is limited and tend to sell out.
What happens if my tour is cancelled?
If we need to cancel we will attempt to reschedule you for another date, or you will be refunded.
What if I need to reschedule?
All sales are final. If you need to reschedule please contact us at least 7 days prior to your scheduled tour or your tickets may be subject to forfeiture.
What if I am running late for the tour?
Approximately two days prior to your scheduled tour, you will be sent a confirmation email with a telephone number you can call or text in case you will be late. Your tour guide will let you know our whereabouts when you are able to join the tour.
Do you offer gift certificates or private tours?

Can I bring a translator on the tour with me?
We are happy to accommodate translators on our private tours. Please let us know when you purchase your ticket if you will have a translator with you. You do not need a ticket for your translator unless they will be partaking in the tastings at each stop.
I have dietary restrictions, can I still attend?
We are able to accommodate vegetarians, but unfortunately cannot make substitutions for other allergies, including vegans and gluten-free guests. We seek to provide the best tastings at each stop, and the “next best” option doesn’t always meet everyone’s dietary restrictions. We are sorry for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding. If you have food allergies, you must notify us prior to your tour. Are there beverages on the tour?
At this time we do not provide bottled water, however you are welcome to purchase water, coffee, or any other beverage at any of our stops. Some tours provide an opportunity to add a wine or beer pairing with one of the tastings.
Are your tours family friendly and appropriate for children?
Yes, we pride ourselves on being a family friendly tour and appropriate for all ages! Children 0-3 years of age are free of charge unless you would like a separate tasting portion for them. Anyone 4 years and older will need their own ticket. We are able to accommodate small strollers.
Is your tour handicap accessible?
The majority of our tours are handicap accessible. Please contact us in advance if you have any concerns.
Do I need to sign a waiver?
With the purchase of your tickets you agree to our terms and conditions.
